Carrington Court is looking to add a new Resident Care Coordinator to our team. The Resident Care Coordinator works closely with our Director of Nursing to help facilitate the primary care for residents and communication with each resident and their family members. They set the example for each care role and help to create a positive and caring environment. They supervise and train Med Tech’s and CNA’s on each of their responsibilities. Interested individuals should have great customer service skills for not only the residents but also the staff for which they are responsible for. This is a full-time position.
This person needs to be a strong leader, be very organized, have great communication skills and have experience as a CNA and currently be certified.
Qualifications:
1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant License.
2. Experience with direct patient care.
3. Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
4. Enthusiasm and great work ethic.
5. Team player
6. Ability to work 40 hours per week.
7. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
8. Must attend the monthly In-Service meetings.
9. Must be in good health, properly immunized against infectious diseases: including mumps, measles, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria.
10. Must obtain a TB test, or proof of chest x-ray (if applicable), within two weeks of date of hire.
11. Management experience preferred but not required.
Job Duties:
1. Responsible for the hiring process.
2. Coach and Mentor CNAs with DON and Administrator
3. Help Train CNAs
4. Process Payroll every two weeks
5. Responsible for CNA schedules (creation and management)
6. Help with getting shifts covered if warranted and needed.
7. Ensure good communication with families about resident’s status and significant changes, ensuring a good relationship.
8. Coordinate and create precise care plans for residents with DON and Administrator.
9. Help DON and Administrator create, update, and train on new policies and procedures for nursing and care at Carrington.
10. Attend morning managers meetings. Coordinate with RN to read notes each morning in preparation for manager meeting each morning. (Notes should have all incidents, falls, behaviors, refused medications.)
11. Help check in cycle meds once a month.
12. Assist the DON in nursing needs and problems as assigned.
